Fiona Elsey née Plant - Principal Chiropractor
Fiona has 2 children of her own who are a lot of fun and keep her very busy. Having been through 2 pregnancies herself and looked after many pregnant women with chiropractic care, she has a great understanding of the changes a woman’s body goes through and the demands that are placed on it both internally and externally. She regularly checks her own children’s spines as children will be children and get up to all sorts of mischief which can cause spinal misalignments. She used to be a very regular headache sufferer and chiropractic helped enormously to reduce them. Also, Fiona found chiropractic and a tailored exercise programme to help strengthen her back after her pregnancies.
Fiona also has a keen interest in helping people improve their posture using the latest in evidence based techniques and research to do so through specific adjustments and corrective exercises. She enjoys working with people of all ages to achieve optimal spinal health and is looking forward to many more years in practice.
Fiona completed her Bachelor of Chiropractic Science and Master of Chiropractic at Macquarie University in 2001 and 2003 respectively. Since graduating Fiona has worked in Sydney and Cork, Ireland as an associate chiropractor then started Riverside Chiropractic in 2010.
Fiona has undergone further study in musculoskeletal acupuncture, chiropractic care for pregnant women and children and has also completed the FAKTR course.
